Sam Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom,
go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." Samuel Adams

"That the said Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms ... " -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, at 86-87 (Pierce & Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

"...Oct. 28, 2005, a grand jury handed down a five-count indictment in the 22-month-long investigation into whether White House officials illegally leaked the identity of Valerie Plame, a covert CIA agent, in retaliation for public criticisms made by her husband, Joseph Wilson IV, about the Bush administration's case for invading Iraq."

"Joe Wilson, husband of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame, kept his criticism of ex-Vice President Dick Cheney and Cheney's former chief of staff Scooter Libby succinct and serious Wednesday, when he referred to each of them simply as "traitor.""

"Am I Free to Go?" Truck Driver Asks During Unconstitutional Stop 30 Miles Away from Border

The truck driver encounters an unconstitutional stop 30 miles away from the border between the US and Mexico.
http://www.prisonplanet.com/video-truck-driver-stands-up-to-unconstitutional-checkpoint.html

The truck driver quotes the 5th Amendment, and remains polite, but refuses to answer questions at this unconsitutional stop inside the United States of America. It's unclear whether the "stoppers" are or are not police.

The truck driver simply repeats, "Am I free to go?"

The unconstitutional "stopper" asks "Are you doing anything illegal?"
(Violation of 5th Amendment."

The truck driver responds, "You tell me." and "I won't answer any more questions without my lawyer."

After a brief standoff, with the unconstitutional "stopper" saying they could be there all day.
The truck driver agrees, but then is let go, if he will be more "cooperative" next time.
"Does being cooperative mean giving up my rights?"
Hold onto the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, the Bill of Rights.
We need them. Our kids need them.

Here's some more info regarding dealing with police. Always check for updated information.

"Am I being detailed?" "Am I free to go."
"Are you a United States citizen?"
"Am I free to go? Are you refusing to allow me to go on my way?"
"Sir, could you step over there?" "You are doing an obstruction to my job.
"Why are you directing me to step over there?"
The man is taking pictures of the agents and asking their name.
18.7(b) Reasonable Suspicion: Before an inspector may constitutionally detain a person (non-entry related case)...the inspector MUST have reasonable suspicion that the person is an alien and is illegally in the United States. Custom and Border Protection Field Manual. (2007).
Here are a few of the sentences from the interchange:
"Pull over there."
"Am I free to go? Why aren't you allowing me to go?"
"You have not answered my question, Are you a US citizen"
"Creating a safety hazard..."
"Agent, you are stopping me...See the stop sign..."
"I know who you are..."
"Agent Gilmore, I don't need to answer your question.
"Am I being detained? Why?"
We are not detaining you.
If I leave right now
So I'm free to go once you have stated your citizenship.
It's only a simple question.
They are threatening arrest. It's going to escalate.
I'll be on my way as soon as you give me permission.
(Taking lots of pictures.)
I'm free to go?
I'm stating it very clearly. Am I free to go?
This is my supervisor.
I'm not interested in talking to your supervisor.
Agent Gill had just waived me through.
You may go sir.
Why were these agents unlawfully detaining me?
