Sam Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom,
go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." Samuel Adams

"That the said Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms ... " -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, at 86-87 (Pierce & Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

"John Cusack and Jonathan Turley on Obama's Constitution." Posted by Shannynmoore. Monday, August 20, 2012.

In the introduction, Shannynmoore writes:
"Sometimes being an progressive voter makes you feel like a refugee from the Island of Dr. Moreau. Some morally inverted, twisted character from a Céline novel. Just breathe. Just read. Just push for a better America. Oh, and thanks, John. Take the time...read his interview with constitutional expert, Jonathan Turley."

In this posting, as it discounts Mitt Romney, John Cusack sums up what's wrong with the Obama presidency, and the spectre of his re-election. Obama is a continuation of the Bush stealing, maiming, and killing, but with deadly quiet surrounding the war crimes and ignoring the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Cusack notes, "One is forced to asked the question: Is the President just another Ivy League Asshole shredding civil liberties and due process and sending people to die in some shithole for purely political reasons?"
